Brother's sleeping in the same bed

My fiancè keeps telling me that my boys don't need to be in the same bed together. My 14 year old has been sleeping in the bed with my 17 year old all week. My 14 year old was recently the victim of a crime. Everything was on our local news but his face was blurred. He is starting therapy next week. He started sleeping with my older son because he saw him crying in the bathroom because he was having nightmares about the person who victimized him and couldn't sleep. So my oldest let him in his bed. I haven't said anything because it's all really fresh. But my fiancè keeps saying it's inappropriate and he would never let his boys do that. I don't want to say anything right away. I want to at least let my son get to therapy first but my fiancè is saying if he's gonna be there step dad I need to let him make decisions and accept his opinion too.
