Copper IUD painful

Hi all, i have a 18months old child i stopped breastfeeding 3 months ago. I got my copper iud july 26. Since then am bleeding/spotting n black clots. Painful cramps though its been 50days i never seen a white discharge since inserted. Is it gonna get better or copper is just not for me? Anyone been through this before? Pls advice how long to wait before i decide to take it out for good! My life is painful as a working mom of 2 kids.
