Pregnancy blood draw ?!

I don’t get why obgyns don’t do the pregnancy blood tests right away because apparently low vit d can cause a miscarriage which I’m known for having low vit D but my doc just doesn’t care ? What if I’m low in a bunch of vitamins by the time they find out at 10 weeks my baby will either have a bunch of development problems from it or I’ll have a miscarriage ?? I’m really scared rightnow

If you know you’re low, you should’ve been taking the vitamins anyway. It isn’t routine. You’re also supposed to be taking prenatals before even conceiving or as soon as you find out.

Take prenatals and a vitamin D supplement.

Do you go to your pcp yearly to have your blood work done so you know what you need?

Have you been taking vitamin d pills since you know you're deficient?

It's understandable to feel scared, but try not to worry too much. You can always discuss your concerns with your healthcare provider. They can provide guidance on managing your vitamin D levels and any other concerns you may have during your pregnancy. It's important to communicate openly with your doctor about your worries.
