Poor taste or just stingy AF?!

So my SIL and her husband are both celebrating their 40th at the end of September. Even though my SIL’s bday was 9 months ago and already celebrated with family and her husband’s 2 months ago. They made a group chat for everyone invited and a voting poll who is coming. Including their work colleagues. After inviting everyone 3 weeks ago, she texts today asking for “sponsored salads” and whoever is willing to bring one.

OMG! I just can’t. I know they were cheap but this is takes the cake. I was contemplating whether to give 25$ as a gift, but I’m certain 20 will do. My husband thinks his sister stoops to a low level by begging for salads from the people she already invited to their “big” bash. Curious to know what your thoughts are?
