So I asked him in bed if he truly thought it thru, is being in a relationship when I have 3 kids. Then I jumped the gun & dumped him when I felt the vibes were off… I know dumb on my end. Anyway, I msged him tn & this was his response. What would u make out of it? That he’s saying hes too focused on his business instead?

I feel he's communicating very openly, just take it slow and see where it goes, I think he needs time to process your family, but he seems interested to being with you and to being involved in the kids' life so that's nice 😉 good luck!

It sounds like hes looking for a more organic type of relationship, and by you bringing up if hes really thought it through being in a relationship w you and 3 kids youre thinking long term committment packaged deal (eg him taking on that role). Maybe you didnt mean him being a step father immediately but I think hes right in thats where your head is going, otherwise why emphasize that you have 3 kids? Especially bringing it up while in bed vs a more casual type of chat? Which depending on how long youve been together (you didnt mention that in your post) may be a totally fair conversation on your end (though I still dont think bed is the right setting for that conversation), but it sounds like he needed time to process that (also fair on his end especially if it's a new relationship) but you didnt give him space for that and just broke up, which reflects lack of committment on your part like youre not willing to work through these things with patience/maturity. I get it comes from fear of getting hurt but you accused him of playing you? Maybe I need more background on you guys like how long youve been together and past commitment conversations. But him emphasizing how busy he is sounds like a boundary, like dont expect too much from him right now, either because hes not committed or because you freaked him out and youre being a bit defensive.

Seem to be like he was caught off guard and like you just came out of left field with the seriousness of the relationship and then you were just looking for an excuse to get out of it so you called things off before he could even catch his breath and figure out what happened LOL it sounds 2 me like u have some maturing u still gotta do b4 ur ready for a relationship of any degree... 😬💯👌 just work on u for a while ♡

He’s being very respectful with what he’s wanting. It seems like you pushed him and you scared him with what you said that night you pushed it too far and you sent him running. That’s what you did as a mother with three kids. You can’t just say hey, you’re gonna be a stepfather pretty much can’t do that, seems like you didn’t ease him into anything that you said and you just ripped the Band-Aid off pretty much and it also seems like he’s more focused on his work and his child and isn’t really looking for something serious right now
