IUI after trigger

My doctor performed my IUI 2 days after i had my triggee shot. I had it on wednesday night around 9-10 pm and then they performed IUI around 1:45 pm on friday. Do they normally peform it 2 days after taking trigger or is it just my doctor who did that?
