I'm currently pregnant and want to name my son after a young boy who was murdered here by his own mother and her bf. I was going to make the young boys first name and last name my son's first name and middle name. My boyfriend said no because he finds it extremely disrespectful because we do not know the boy or his family. I don't think you have to know someone to honor their death. I've told people our son's name and who we are naming him after and every time I say it my bf says "No we aren't." His mom says I'm acting like some martyr and if she found out someone named their kid after her dead grandchild they didn't even know she would be pissed. And she says I'm doing it to Garner sympathy. I'm not. I just think this boys name should be remembered but they both think it's disrespectful to the boy and his loved ones. If you were a loved one would you find this disrespectful?
