This whole situation is sad...

I made a post back in July about a little girl who is known to be a menace. She is 13 and threw rocks and then bricks at my autistic son and pit. My dog didn't attack when he was hit. He attacked when my son was hit in the head and jumped and mauled the girls face. The parents tried to get us to cover her hospital bill and my husband got the surveillance footage from a neighbor to prove she provoked the dog. I did feel bad for her and a lot of people were upset that I did. Truth is my son walked out with some stitches. She walked out with a mauled face. I'm glad some people understood I'm an empathetic person. I wish I had a better update. That she learned her lesson and started to do better. Unfortunately when the girl started coming outside again she only got worse. So I just made my son and our dog stay inside because our dog does not like her. The sad part is a few weeks ago something really tragic happened. My son was pointing at the window because there were a bunch of fire trucks, ambulance, police cars and it was a lot. He was getting overstimulated so my husband took him to our bedroom. I see the 13 year old crying getting taken to the cops car and another neighbor yelling at her asking why did she do that. The 13 year old was in tears. We found out on the next door app that the 13 year old had gotten into a fight with another girl. Nobody is sure the context of why they were fighting but according to the girls friends the 13 year old was being a bully. But the 13 year old stabbed the other girl in the HEART with a pocket knife. It started out as a "normal" middle school fight and then the 13 year old did that. Her name was obviously kept secret. The one who was yelling at her was the deceased girls mother. She was yelling and asking why she did that. I feel awful because everyone lost something that night. One girl lost her life, two sets of parents lost their daughters and that poor 13 year old lost a chance to change. Me and my husband had a fight because he said "Should've left Barley kill her." Barley is our dog. I told him that's horrible At the end of the day she's a kid with parents who failed her and she was crying. My husband says he has no sympathy because all 13 year olds know stabbing someone in the heart kills them. I just see day after day under that post many people hoping that girl gets life. I know I will get hate again probably but there is something so odd about wanting a 13 year old who's brain isn't fully developed to go to prison forever. I'm not sure what the right punishment for her is and I hope the other girl rests in piece. But she's a scared little girl with a mauled face and away from her parents and people wish her horrible things. What about the PARENTS? I hope they get charged because this is so a parenting issue. My husband says this girl is the anti christ and I find this all so sad. My husband is thinking we should put our son in therapy because he got a glimpse of a dead body. He seems okay but I'll keep a look out on his behavior. I know people think I have more empathy for this girl than my own son. Some will prob say I have more than for the girl who died. That's not it. I just know a troubled child when I see one and this makes me sad
