Is this a sign that my boyfriend trusts me?

Me and my boyfriend are going on almost a year and a half together. Before me he dated a girl that he's describes as psychotic but I think abusive is a better word. And before anyone starts, I've seen all their text message exchanges. Video footage. The police reports. She was definitely the problem in the relationship. She also (and I've seen the text message proof) like that weird chick that talked her boyfriend into killing himself. She was trying to do that too. My boyfriend locks away his antidepressants. One thing that happened in their relationship is she would take away his antidepressants and flush them down the toilet to "punish" him. So he has this type of lock on his medicine cabinet and our entire relationship he had that lock on his medicine cabinet. I moved in 3 months ago. Lock this there which is fine. Never said anything. Well last week he removed the lock off his medicine cabinet. He hasn't said anything about it. Hasn't replaced it. Does this mean he trusts me? Do I bring it up and ask?
