A bit of a long post but I’m really needing some advice and please don’t be rude🙏🏻
I'm 19 and just found out I'm pregnant. I graduated in 2022 at 16, 2 years earlier. I currently don't have a job because I've been taking time away, focusing on my weight loss journey, as it's been a lot for me mentally and have lost lots of weight, but I plan on getting a job now that I'm pregnant so that my boyfriend and I both can start saving and providing for our baby. I have about $4,000-$5,000 saved up and plan on buying a car soon, but I'm still living from home with my parents and I'm not too sure how they're going to take the news. I worry about them possibly kicking me out but whenever I was 14, I was in a situation where I thought I was pregnant and told them, and they had gotten very upset but they didn’t kick me out, they just told me that I had to get a job and start providing for my child, so I have high hopes that they won’t kick me out this time either now that I’m actually pregnant but still a bit worried on how they’re going to take the news. However, I am 18+ now and have a few things going for myself so it’s a lot different now than when I was 14. I really don’t think they will but I feel like it’s a worry for anyone that’s pregnant and still living at home with their parents. My boyfriend & I can go to my prenatal appointments alone until then so that’s not an issue but I’m struggling with what I should do. I've been thinking about either telling them now or waiting until 12 weeks when at the end of the first trimester because anything can happen during the first trimester. Should I just be straight up and tell them I plan on getting a job to save and provide and that I plan on being the best mother I can be or wait until I'm 12 weeks before telling them?? I'm so scared. This is my first baby and I'm just now starting my life.
