In need of female friends

So i only have one female friend , my best friend for about 15 years who i met in Kindergarten on the school bus, lol. I talk with females all the time as in associates , mostly at work , and I have my sister in law and my 2 sisters , but we all aren't as close as id like for us to be. So, i don't really have a lot of female friends but i feel like i want more female friends which sounds dorky i know, but I do. Now we know when people are looking for a romantic relationship they might go on a dating site or some type of social setting, some go to bars but how do you find new friends, lol and will it be awkward to come off as i need more friends, lol? I have a hard time trusting too . My main goal in finding friends is for them to be close to God and maybe not as busy with a family. I want to just have someone to do fun things with and do the female bonding thing. Any suggestions? I feel like such a nerd lol
