Keeping toddler asleep after weaning?
I weaned my baby 1 month before her 2nd birthday cold turkey. We did so because it was a dental emergency. She stayed latched all night and it caused extreme tooth decay. With that being said it was time to wean her and she is having this problem remedied (and just in case anyone is wondering yes we would brush her teeth twice a day with flouride toothpaste but it still happened). Since cutting cold turkey she actually sleeps so much better now and so do I but she still wakes at least twice a night. We kind of did a bad thing and this is where we totally messed up. Since birth she had never taken a bottle or a pacifier. However once we weaned she would still wake for milk so we started giving her a bottle of milk. Now about a month later I’m starting to realize that was such a mistake. We created an additional problem we didn’t have before and she is still drinking about 2 bottles a night so it kinda contradicts us weaning her. We’ve tried giving her water and she wouldn’t take it. What did you do? And what advice can you give me? I want to get her away from baby bottles, and away from milk at night since we aren’t able to brush her teeth after because she immediately falls asleep.
