How to wean a toddler

K8y

So I’m really proud of myself, this journey has been really hard, my little boy was born with a bowel deformity so I couldn’t breast feed him for 3 weeks after as he was on pn after his surgery and then he had to learn tube to oral feeds and I had really bad pp anixety. I also have chronic pain that I’ve had to manage without meds (his almost 4 months away from turning 3 now) and I’d like to start to take care of my self and my health (I really need it) but I still feel guilty weaning him plus’s his a really bad sleeper and it’s the only thing to get him of to sleep.

If I say no he goes mad and screams and cry’s for ages and ages finally goes to sleep but wakes up a hour later asking for it and screaming again and it’s really hard.

Any way you managed to get your toddlers who are really attached to stop feeding. Also how do you stop feeling guilty?

Thanks for reading I know it’s long with the back history but I wanted to give the full story so you understand why i feel bad stopping.
