What to expect on the shot

Im thinking of getting the shot as my bc. But what can I expect as side effects? Will it make my period stop? 
I was in the implant a few years ago and I got rid of it cause it was giving me horrible acne and gained so much weight but I loved it because I didn’t have a period 😅

It made my period stop but some women still have their period. I personally wouldn’t do the shot. It messes with your hormones. It can make you gain weight. I had abdominal pain, headaches, was really moody.

Its honestly so different for each person. Ive been on it 3 different times and its effected me 3 different ways. Each time tho my periods conpletely stopped up until a few months after taking the last shot and i did not have any acne. I plan on going back on it in a few weeks. With the weight, it doesnt make you gain or lose. It changes your appetite which is what causes the fluctuations. I was able to lose about 30 pounds the last time i was on it with going to the gym(not often). Make sure you speak to your doctor extensively about all of the side effects and any concerns that you may have.
