Boyfriend texts escorts because he’s bored

My boyfriend of almost 2 years told me he only texts escorts because he’s bored or lonely. I just went through his Apple Watch because I felt his energy changed, I saw him messaging several escorts asking how much they charge even a day after my birthday. We don’t live together and he’s 3 hrs away from me but his reason is that he gets bored and never meets up with them. It’s just for the thrill. My question is I’m really considering breaking up with him but he has surgery in 2 days and needs my help. Would I be wrong if I didn’t fall through with helping?
