Anyone else had this?

Hi everyone 👋🏻, just looking for some advice really. So I'm not due for my period till the 2nd of Jan but I started spotting on the 17th Dec. Mostly just pink but did turn red for a day or two the back to pink. I thought maybe just my period starting but my periods are soo much heavier with (tmi) a lot of clots and very painful but I've had little to no cramps and no (tmi) clots. Took a test this morning and i think it was negative but I don't like to look at them too much because I get line eyes. Part of me thought implantation bleeding but the spotting lasting longer than a day makes me think it cant be.. I just don't know what to think.
