Is this weird?

So il was at the park with my kids. A guy with his child comes along and we talk for a while and he was like my wife and I have been looking for play dates for our child.

I said if it's ok with your wife I wouldn't mind my daughter needs friends as well.

I feel bad when I think on it now but I feel it's just playmates with the kids we exchanged numbers but I'm thinking of deleting it now.

Am I overreacting? I was only thinking of playdstes with the kids and only if his wife is present as well..

Idk this is probably a horrible idea. @Leslie- thats how i feel@Unicorns: im not trying to break up anyones relationship or anything . I thought it was innocent bc im just looking for friends for my child but after asking my friends they said its inappropriate and one is married so i take their word.@G- it would be at another public place. Everyone is essentially a stranger until you get to know them. It would never be at a secluded place or their house.
