TMI but what the heck!
32 weeks + 4 days. I am high risk and have been showing signs of preterm labor.
Two days ago, I started having contractions and what felt like severe period/diarrhea cramps and dull lower back pain. This went on for a good two hours. I had to run to the bathroom so many times because it felt like my body was trying to like clean itself out. (The day before I lost a lot of my plug but nothing bloody show so I know that’s ok as it regenerates) anyways I then started to feel a constant urge to pee but nothing. I jumped in the shower to help calm my body. I went to wash myself and felt what felt like possibly my vaginal wall bulging outside of my vagina. I panicked and instinctively pushed it back inside, called my nurse practitioner and she had me come in immediately for a NST and exam. Contractions and cramping had fully stopped so nothing came up on the NST.
We did a very light exam to see if anything was out of place but from what she can see, nothing was.
She said it absolutely sounds like a vaginal wall prolapse but won’t know more unless it happens again and they can see it.
I haven’t been able to use the bathroom yet as I’m having a ton of anxiety, because what the heck was that!
I am 34 years old and have never experienced something like that in my two previous pregnancies.
Has any mamas here experienced this before?
