Please y’all, empty them every single load. I just worked a fire and the lady hadn’t cleaned hers out in a week. She lost her house, her dogs (even though we were able to get in and get them out, the smoke was just too much)  and everything inside. Also, don’t leave your house with your dryer on. She had left her dryer on and went to work.

Normally I say there can be many right ways to do something but in this case there is 1 right answer. Every single time. You need to clean the lint trap after wvery single dryer load. If you check your clothes and they are still damp you empty it then and then out it on for anouther 15 minutes. You should amso vaccuum out your vent often and I get our washer/dryer professionally cleaned yearly to be safe and keep both working at peak performance
