Pregnancy stresses

Currently 33 weeks with first baby and my biggest stress is from my mother.

She screamed and hung up on me recently (after I retaliated to her screaming) about me not getting the whooping cough vaccine.

She screamed at me that I was stopping her from having a relationship with her first grandchild because I wasn’t getting the vaccine.

I’m not antivaxxer, but she did have to take me to a doctor every time I had a seizure from approximately 2 months old up until I was 6/7, due to the whooping cough vaccine.

My doctor and obstetrician advised against it, and my ob tried getting me in with some immunologists but we weren’t able to get an appointment with any of them.

My mother hasn’t spoken to me for a month.

She texted me at 11pm last week to tell me my 91 year old grandmothers surgery went well. It came as a shock because I didn’t know she was going into surgery.

She has sent me a massive guilt trip text this morning asking “where I was last night”. It was my SIL birthday dinner and despite being 33 weeks pregnant, and currently having diarrhoea (because I’ve been so heavily constipated, my medical team has tried to push everything out), I was expected to drive 3 hours return for a dinner that would go for an hour, hour and a half tops.

I needed to get this off my chest because I can’t make sense of anything.

My mother has also made comments about how when the baby is born, I will drive up to them (yes the same 3 hour return trip) so the family can meet the baby, because I’m “only having a caesarean and the recovery is a lot easier than a vaginal birth”. (Having a planned caesarean under general anaesthetic because I have a significant back injury and that’s the safest and only way my obstetrician has said I can deliver).
