Lice in school

Is this reasonable to ask the teacher or am I doing too much lol

We got a message from school Tuesday saying someone in my daughters class has lice. She bought a cute hat yesterday and wanted to wear it to school and I completely forgot to tell her not to let anyone wear it. She’s almost 6 years old so I’m hoping maybe it will be common sense? Idk 😂she’s really young so I doubt it.

I was thinking of texting the teacher to pull her aside and remind her or maybe to even ask nicely if she can put it in her backpack? Yes or no. I don’t wanna sound like I’m doing too much lol
