Might skip having a Baby Shower…

I only have a handful of close friends, and only a few of them still live in my state, and the ones that do don’t really get along with each other anymore. I have some acquaintances I hangout with in groups occasionally. The only family near me is my sister. My mom has sadly passed, my MIL lives on the other side of the country. I don’t have any aunts or cousins. A baby shower sounds kind of depressing. It would be super small and just a reminder that I’ve never had a big friend group like some other women. Anyone in a similar position that still had one, or if you decided to skip it did you regret it?
