New to birth control

I was recently diagnosed with pcos so I have started taking birth control for the first time ever. It is the Drospirenone-ethinyl estradiol pill. I had a few questions if anyone can answer them. First is it normal for my boobs to hurt sooo bad? They’re so tender and feel like they’re swollen. There’s no lumps or anything so I’m not concerned about that but I am worried the pain isn’t normal because it’s so intense. Another question is when am I supposed to start my period? I’ve finished the actual pills and now I’m taking the white ones. So far I’ve taken one of the white ones and I’ve yet to get my period or to have any of my regular period symptoms. Am I supposed to start the day I take the white pill or a few days into taking them? I wasn’t having a regular period prior to taking them so if I don’t get it I have to contact my doctor anyway but I’m not sure if it’s normal or not to not start the day of the white pill.
