Idk what to do…

I moved from the home my husband and I shared with our children. I was a SAHM but I still contributed some to the mortgage and home expenses from tutoring for cash. Today I was talking to my mother because I do appreciate her allowing me to live in her home but it’s extremely uncomfortable. A week before I arrived another family member needed a place to live so that took away the rooms she was preparing for my children and I and we are now in the basement. It’s freezing down here and she said I’m not allowed a space heater which I respect her decision. The thermostat down here reads 52 degrees and two of us are already sick, we keep our coats and boots on while inside and we sleep under 4 blankets. We also have to use the restroom down here and it’s too cold to bathe or shower. I appreciate her allowing me to stay but I mentioned to her that I would ask my ex husband to consider selling the house and I could afford a place for my children and I as we’re very uncomfortable here . I didn’t mean any harm or disrespect to her but she chewed me out and told me that I need to crawl before I walk. She told me that I don’t have a right to the house that my husband and I shared as I “didn’t put a dime into it from my own pocket” and that she understands his unwillingness to help out financially because he has a mortgage to pay which in my opinion is all the more reason to sell the house as he’s the only one living in such a huge house. He recently refinanced and I stupidly signed the papers as my name is at the top of the mortgage and he couldn’t move forward without me. Since then he’s not willing to compromise on a single thing. He also told me that I need to retrieve the rest of my items from his home immediately but I’ve used the money for that to support my children and I. I don’t know what to do and I feel so stuck. I have been applying for jobs relentlessly and hoping to hear back from one soon.
