Contacting an ex

I’ve been dealing with the issue of knowledge that I left behind something at my ex’s place. I wanted to get it back last week but didn’t want to be pushy with Valentine’s Day within the same time frame. So I waited till yesterday as I’m off from work this week and have more flexibility to retrieve the item.

Thoughts on his response? Do you think he’d be open to talking about the relationship or rekindle? He responded pretty fast considering he was at work and has a high level job.

We’ve been broken up a little over a month.
