Other Countries Showing Compassion Toward Americans?

I'm really not knowledgeable about politics or government etc. But with the way Canadian government seems to feel empathy toward Americans, I'm wondering if it's a long shot to think that they might assist Americans in relocating if push comes to shove. They clearly feel for Americans even though they're highly against Trump.

I mean, at this point we would be political refugees if we are able to leave. In most first world countries refugees aren’t treated like animals. Obviously anyone with two eyes can see what’s happening here. The world is watching it live time play out, it’s different than 1930s Germany because that wasn’t being broadcast in front of everyone’s eyes, but this is history repeating itself, and they’re watching it happen. It’s hard to not have compassion, knowing where this ends up.

So right now there is something called “Safe Third Country Agreement” between Canada and the US.  You can’t claim asylum in Canada if you are entering from the US (and vice versa) because both countries WERE considered safe.  
Canadians and the Canadian government don’t want Americans hurt.  Yes, there is a lot of empathy for the American people. 
There are calls for Canada to withdraw from this agreement (https://amnesty.ca/human-rights-news/canada-must-withdraw-from-safe-third-country-agreement/)
But I mean, as of now, it looks like the law, and all agreements are out the window in the US anyways …so who knows what will happen.

Canadian here….America voted Trump in twice. When you look at the map of who voted Republican it’s pretty clear it was no accident the little orange man was re-elected by a vast majority of Americans. I can’t think of a worse group of people to invite into Canada. Anyone who voted for Trump can stay and reap the benefits of a Maga regime. We don’t want racist, gun loving, uneducated Maga supporters pouring into Canada crying about how Trump lied to them.  The only Americans who should be welcome are those seeking legitimate asylum I’m talking the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, and women seeking life saving health care. We don’t want toxic American culture polluting our country. Enjoy the next 4 years (maybe longer if Trump gets his way and manages to overthrow democracy 😂)

I’m not sure what you mean by saying the Canadian government has empathy toward Americans? And why would it be useful for people to flee to Canada?

I hear Italy will give you $30k to move there! They are looking to repopulate small towns and are willing to give foreigners money to put towards their first house if they move there.
