Am I overreacting?

Background story

My boyfriend worked night shift last night (5pm -5am, due to his work hours, he barely see his son except days he’s off and even then he still don’t get much time to spend time with him because kiddo is in daycare full time). So he did not get the chance to see his son before work yesterday. I’m alway on him to try to spend more time with him when he gets the chance. We are together and live together.

Actual story

So last night my son (one year old) was up every two hours crying until 8:15am. Kiddo went to bed fine at 8pm and woke up at 11 crying. I soothed him and he went back to sleep. This was happening every two hours. My boyfriend came home early (1:30am) and went to the basement (where his gaming computer is). He thought I didn’t know. Kiddo was sleeping at that time. I wasn’t sleeping. When my son woke up at 8:15am, I realized he had a fever. I went to the kitchen to get medicine. The basement door was closed. I gave kiddo medicine and he fell asleep in 20 min. My boyfriend finally went upstairs to check on us as soon as kiddo fell asleep. My boyfriend slept with him for three hours and then my son woke up for the day. I made my son breakfast. My boyfriend went back to the basement. No communication about coming home early or even going back to the basement. He came back upstairs at 4:30pm, told his son he loves him. I started laughing and he asked why I was laughing. I asked him what time he got home and he left without saying anything.
