Absent Period 3+ months
Hello, hoping to get some advice or find those that could possibly have had a similar experience to what I’m dealing with today. I am 30 years old & it has been over three months since I’ve had a period. Normally I wouldn’t worry, but this is the second time this happens on a consistent basis. The first time after having my cycle in October of 2024, I didnt get it again until mid January. Brushed it off thinking maybe it was stress related, but after finishing that cycle I have yet to get it again.
I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and she ordered standard & hormonal bloodwork. Everything so far checks out normal & nothing abnormal. Thyroid normal, not a diabetic, not pregnant, no infections, dhea-s, fsh & lh, testosterone, prolactin, all normal. Just missing on more results which is the 17-hydroprogesterone.
Other than having an absent period, only other symptoms I have is on & off cramping, insomnia, and as of recently mood swings. I’ve never dealt with something like this before & I’ve never had a history of pcos or anything similar to it. I also have had only one pregnancy & that was over 2 years ago.
If anyone could give me advice/share a similar experience it would be greatly appreciated. I guess im just a little concerned since this hasn’t really happened to me before & I don’t know what to expect next. Like im barely 30 & im scared im going into early menopause 😩
Thanks in advance!
