2 year old coughing on and off for MONTHS 😩

Let me just say my kid started daycare October of last year so her being sick her and there was to be expected. However, my poor kid has developed a chronic cough that last for a few days and then it comes back after a week or so. I’ve been back and forth at the pediatrician and all I am being told is that her lungs sound great, vitals are good and it could be a viral infection that’ll pass on its own. The pediatrician prescribed budesonide inhaler and albuterol via neubulizer. However, we stopped taking the albuterol after the first attempt since it cause my daughter to get a fever and feel worse. The nurse practitioner at the dr office recommended we try albuterol again and today we needed up at the ER because my daughter was shortness of breath, coughing uncontrollably, face turning red. We get to the ER only to be told the same thing they tell us at her doctors visit. However, by the time we got to a room at the ER she no longer had a persistent cough. All her vitals were great, but I’m just bumbed out that we can’t get to the root of what’s causing this cough. We only give her the busesonide as needed at night and morning. I’m working on maybe 3 hours of sleep due to my coughing non stop at night. She doesn’t have asthma and RSV, flu and Covid tests are always negative. Send help 😩

I requested a pulmonary specialist but we can’t get in until next month.
