Would you have a word with your kids teacher

My sons 11th grade world history teacher went off on his class today. He told me the teacher broke down crying and yelling saying how all she has done is try to help them and they all treat her like crap every single day and to stop treating her like this. My son said it was really awkward and then she threw a notebook in the air and it landed on her head and he said he felt bad trying not to laugh and other kids laughed that it landed on her head. So she made them so independent reading time while she went to cry in the hallway. Would you have a talk with her about that not really being appropriate for a teacher to do?
