Hey girls! Question: has anyone had a successful VBAC? Would love to hear!

Yayyy! I’m so excited to finally be able to say I’m pregnant with baby number 2!! 🥹 Super excited me and my husband were trying for 7 months, now EDD is Jan 12th! Any due date twins lol? I did have a c-section with my son so may have to have a scheduled c-section, but I would truly love to try a natural birth (i never even got any contractions or went into labor with my son, I went in for my 40wk appointment ,with a diff doc than i had seen the whole pregnancy, and they just told me i needed a c-section the next morning and that was my ‘birthing’ experience) since i didn’t get to experience anything the last time it makes me a little sad i might not ever experience that. So have you had a c-section and then had a successful VBAC? would love to hear from anyone!

Me! I just found out this morning I’m pregnant with baby #5 😳. But I’m happy ❤️. Anyways, to answer your question, I’ve been through 2 VBACs. My first was natural, my second was an emergency CS, and my last two were VBACs. I know everyone has their own experiences and preferences, but for ME, personally, I would not have elected to have more CS’s after I had to have the emergency one. I didn’t want to have to recover from the surgery, and baby 2 was 14 months old when I had baby 3 (the first VBAC). I didn’t feel like I would be able to care for him as well after having a surgery. If I had never experienced labor, as you said you haven’t, I would have chosen VBAC because I wouldn’t have wanted to feel like I’d missed out on that experience. It’s truly a labor of love, and I plan on going for a VBAC again. I know some say they like the convenience of scheduling the delivery with a CS, it being a controlled environment and all that stuff. But to me, childbirth happens when it’s meant to happen, babies come on their schedule, not on ours. Unless there’s a medical reason to do surgery… it’s just not for me. At all. But I don’t judge anyone who chooses to go that route… everyone is different. Hope that helps… and congrats!

I did.  Emergency c section with my 1st.  Successful vbac with my 2nd. He was 10 pounds. It was painful, but worth it.

Oh, and sorry, I didn’t mean “me” as far as due date twins… my due date is 1/20. I just meant “me” as far as the VBAC experience 😂😂
