DPO 5/6 and bleeding. Irregular period?

Help! This is my second month trying to conceive. I typically have a very regular period, landing on the expected date of this app +\- 1 day each month. Last month, my period was 5 days early. Severe cramps and only lasting 2 days with brown blood and no need to wear tampon or even a pad day 3-4. Typically, I need a tampon till day 4 with light brown when wiping on day 5.

This month, I am now DPO 5 or 6. Friday, I got a positive ovulation, had EGCM and increase in bbt on Saturday. Today, I woke up to brown blood. It was light, but as the day has progressed, it’s turned into a darker red and there has been a few clots. I’m wearing a pad and it’s definitely visible and there when I wipe, but not soaking the pad completely (at least not yet—7 hrs later).

I am only CD 21. I’ve never ever had my period this early. Typically I am 31-32 (though last month was CD 27).

What is going on?? Is this a period?? I should also mention, I ALWAYS have cramps with my periods that require meds the first day. I don’t have any cramping or PMS symptoms.
