Does waiting change anything?

The last time I had a 'period' it was actually a miscarriage. Clearly didn't wait the wait the two weeks after bleeding either. Honestly had a lot going on at home and it slipped my mind till now. I've been through this a bit and normally my periods come back 21-26 days after. This time three days late. Should I buy a test and test today? I'm so nervous and honestly scared that I keep telling myself to wait till it's a week late like it's going to somehow make things clearer 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ but if I test today it's going to tell me either way too right? 😅
