Daycare conflict due to lunch contents?

So our daughter’s daycare told us they had an issue with what we have been bringing her for lunch. They say it’s not healthy and I’m not gonna sit here and say what we pack her for lunch involves the five food groups and it’s approved by whatever health group is out there for toddlers to eat.

But my daughter is picky, we go to work, and food is expensive. I rarely have time to sit and be like hmm what lunch should she eat?? Like I work nightshift 12 hrs and I go straight to bed after arriving home and I’m 7 months pregnant. So at this point what my daughter eats is good she enjoys and I’m not gonna be iron chef America cooking up a 5 course meal everyday when I’m tired from work.

The daycare workers are more than welcome to come be our personal chef if they have an issue with what foods my daughter eats. Like thank god that would be a god send. Not all of us are stay at home moms with well off husbands and I have all the free time in the world to contemplate what healthy foods a 3 yr old should be eating. I’m tired, my job pisses me off most of the time and I want to rest on my days off.

I get it, maybe we should have a variety of options for my daughter’s lunches but my mom takes her mostly when I work and idk my mom just does the same stuff since she also works. So her priority isn’t testing what foods my daughter likes or dislikes just bringing in what she’s been eating and heading off to work.

The issue is they don’t serve the kids lunch at all at the daycare. Or have any specific guidelines as to what a healthy lunch is like for them. It’s like a dictatorship just making up rules and demands without it being written down in ink. Like that’s not how establishments run, if you have issues with certain kids lunches either start making your own lunches or send out guidelines for what is an acceptable lunch.

Anyway, I just feel like the owner doesn’t like us and it’s just another thing that bothers her about us. Like the more you dislike someone every little thing they do bothers you. My daughter has gone to that daycare for nearly a year now. Why bring it up now??? When this has been going on for months she’s been eating relatively the same thing.

It’s probably because other moms are slaving away in the kitchen to make their kids a lunch but like I said they probably stay at home, have jobs that are 9-5 or at least part time and they work during the day. And the thing that the owner was crashing out about was cheese puffs. Wtf. Idek maybe the other parents are vegan?? Sorry I’m not much of a cooker?? It’s just not inclusive friendly for families who may struggle to make lunches due to the fact that they work.

And my daughter will just eat sweets or the contents of the lunch that may not be the healthiest. Like for lunch ables she’ll only eat fruit snacks and not the apples or crackers. Or she just wants cheese puffs. My mom also packs cereal in there for her and the lunchables but I’m not sure if she still packs the lunchables. But we don’t pack hot food because I doubt they’re microwaving kids foods so how the hell can we even think to bring in real food that’s not snack related and won’t spoil in her lunch box?
