Secret with teenage son

For context my teenage son is very mature. His dad (ex husband) and I share 50/50 custody (week on week off)

His dad and I went through two MC in 2020&2021.

We split in 22’

I got remarried six months ago. My husband and I have had two MC as well 1/24 and 11/24.

I kept pregnancy a secret from my son three times now. I’m of the opinion that I want to announce early and actually get to be happy and celebrate my baby. This is my 6th pregnancy and while I’m trying to stay neutral, of course I’m so happy and terrified.

I want to tell my son soon for several reasons one being my own safety . He was wonderful getting me help when I was in an emergency situation from an ectopic pregnancy last year. Granted he didn’t know I was pregnant .

The problem is that I have never asked him to keep something a secret. Especially from his dad.

I simply don’t want him knowing till the time is right. Is that too much to ask”put” on my 14yo son?
