Talking toddler

My 3yr old he just turned 3 he can tell us his needs and wants but he will literally walk around or be in the car talking to his self all day scripting stuff from shows he watch all day long 😭 it drives me nuts idk if he does this because he just be bored sitting or in the house . He also doesn’t really answer yes or no questions. We are work on that . I’m trying to see when does the scripting stuff stop . If I ask him questions like what’s his favorite color or animal and stuff he answers but not yes or no questions .
