Cervical Polyp

Hi, has anyone here had experience with cervical polyps during early pregnancy?

I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant and started having some light bleeding today. I went to the clinic and the doctor found a dark polyp at my cervix. She said it looks like a dangling bump, kind of like a pimple with a stalk. I'm really anxious right now.

Does anyone know if it will affect the pregnancy if it's left alone? I'm also scared that removing it might cause more bleeding or risk infection that could affect the baby. I’m just really worried 🥹
