No baby shower because it’s a boy?

So I mentioned wanting to have a baby shower because this is my third and final pregnancy and I never had one. I mentioned a babyQ idea to my mom and she looked at me like it was a stupid idea. She then said “I thought you didn’t want a baby shower” and I told her I changed my mind and this would be a baby shower/barbque so we could invite others instead of just the same traditional only women. She started making up reasons not to have one like “it’ll be too hot”. If feel she only wanted me to have a baby shower if I were having a girl but since I’m having another boy she could care less about me having one and I think that so stupid. Who cares if it’s not a girl? I’m not going to make my son feel any less important just because he’s not a girl. So funny she cares about it being too hot when she’ll throw barbque for Easter while it’s scalding outside and be out there the whole time or parties for summer. I won’t be going to any of them this year since, you know, it’ll be too hot.
