Would I be a bad girlfriend?

Me and my boyfriend are about to move into a house may 1st his birthday is April 21st. Would I be a horrible person to not get him anything for his birthday and maybe just take him out? Or something. Since we are moving into a place and I have to save money for the stuff inside the house and everything?

My now husband and I agreed to not do gifts for the holidays that were around us getting our house it just didn’t make sense to spend money on non essential things.

He's presumably an adult so you're not obligated to shower him in presents. Ask him what he'd like to do for his birthday, if anything.
