Gestational age or baby measurements?

I did IVF so I know exactly how far along I am. Yesterday at 11w4d I had my NT Scan with a maternal fetal specialist and he said baby is measuring 12w2d and that from now on in the pregnancy we will go off of that. I understand doing that for natural conception as the ovulation date is somewhat unknown, but with IVF we know exactly what day. Just seems strange. I know it’s only a few days different but I’m confused! Did anyone else experience this?

Hey, my date changed by 4 days and like others have mentioned we know our actual dates due to our transfer dates. It hasn’t made much difference throughout the pregnancy but now that I am 36 weeks pregnant and discussing possibilities of induction dates and so on, I have clarified that I would like to go back to my original dates to give me the extra time to go into labour naturally (if needed). At my last appointment I just made sure that my consultant had it written in my notes for all to be aware of 😊

It is less than a week different. It doesn't matter. Mine shifted a bit too (yes, we did IVF). Your due date is just a guess anyways.

We went off scan dates at 12 weeks and did so until birth. Mine was a few days ahead too. It doesn’t matter really.
