I don't like this name because of bad association with it. Knew a guy with this as his last name and he was a total douche. I see this more as dogs name. But I think in today's world, people want their kids to stand out and not blend in. Which is cool. And besides, I'm sure you wouldn't like the names I have picked out. Lol! I don't think it's a bad name. Go with your gut. If you feel right with it and it's not going to ruin his life, go for it!
