i hate boric acid. help?

i've been using boric acid for two days now and i hate it. for reference, it's the honey pot brand. i bought it because i've heard very good things, and to balance out ph. but i can't believe this could possibly be good.

it smells terrible. i pull down my pants and i get hit with what smells like chemicals. there's no way this is the smell that everyone raves about.

the one things i can attest to is the fact that it definitely moisturizes. i have had endless discharge. but the smell ....

is it normal? is it the brand that's wrong? should i keep using it and see or should i stop immediately?
