When was your first ultrasound?

I’m 3w4d. Calling my doctor Monday to get my first appointment set up. How far along were you for your first apt/ultrasound? Thanks!
I’m of course super excited to go to the dr but we also don’t want to tell family and close friends until we go to the first appointment. I am going on my cousins bachelorette trip at 8.5 weeks, so I would love to be able to go before then so we can tell and she’ll know why I can’t drink! 😂

Usually 8-9 weeks is when my doctor scheduled the first appointment. That way it’s not too early to see anything

They are typically scheduled 8-10 weeks so that they can see something and detect heartbeat….

Mine was 5w2d but I was under the care of a fertility specialist and they do things a little different. Usually it will be 8 weeks or later unless you have a known history of prior losses.

I had my first ultrasound at 6ish weeks to confirm pregnancy viability/date the pregnancy. Then 12 week ultrasound and then a final one at 20 weeks for the anatomy scan. I’m not high risk so I don’t require any other ultrasounds unless something goes wrong/I have complications.
