Induction processes

Hi everyone. I was induced with my first and it was absolutely horrendous. I was induced with a pessary and went into hyper stimulation so they had to remove it but it had already started the process off.

My question is.. what other methods are used excluding pessary? Did anyone skip this step and go straight for the drip? Other method? Was it successful?

I’m due baby number 2 in June and I really don’t want a pessary again but it’s likely I’ll have to be induced due to size of the baby so I want to know my options.
