So I am in June 2023 due date group on FB and a lot of people are saying they plan on using a vibrator/masturbating in labor. Even those who are having a hospital birth. Has anyone else done this and was there benefits ? I am honestly curious, I don’t plan on doing this because I’m very shy ., I don’t even want strangers seeing me naked but I guess that can’t be avoided.

Different but kinda along the same lines - My dilation was stalled for almost a day even with active contractions and the nurse offered to put a sign on the door so me and hubby could get it on (for the same reasons as masturbation I assume). We ended up not wanting to do it but it goes to show I think nurses are used to it!
