Am I wasting my time?

So I’ve been single for a couple of months after being in a relationship for 10 years. I met this guy, and we’ve hung out numerous times, have made out twice, and last time I was hanging out with him we had this conversation on how we’re both not looking for anything serious. Well he basically told me yeah like you’re cool and I like you but I need to focus on my career and kid. He said he doesn’t want any distractions now but he’s very attracted to me and wants to continue being friends and hanging out and getting to know each out. He’s also flat out said that us having sex isn’t off the time it’s “in the kitchen” but idk what that means… But then I saw him yesterday and he got in my car and like practically made out with my cheek, we got food which he insisted on buying and as we were walking to car from getting food he like put his arm around me. He fed me his last chicken nugget.. like I feel like he’s just throwing mixed signals. I’m not looking for anything serious buuuut I don’t wanna waste my time either
