Hair down south!

I used to always shave my pubic hair, legit almost right after I noticed it, I shaved it off, so I've always been smooth. Well, I cut myself down there and it was pure hell, and I tried again, only to cut myself again! So I gave up and it's gotten out of control... any tips for how to get rid of it all without waxing?
