Is it weird? My MIL

I saw a mug at my MIL’s house that said, “feliz día de la madre” (happy Mother’s Day) 
It was a picture of her with my son and on the other side a picture of her with my two nieces. I also have another son and daughter and then a nephew (who she didn’t include) 
I’m not sure who got her this mug but is it not weird? Even for a different culture?

I don't see how some people here don't see how IT IS a bit strange, considering she has MORE grandchildren than the kids on the mug. Why put just SOME of the kids and not all the kids? I don't see the mug saying "happy Mother's day" odd, but to not include all the kids is odd.

It sounds a little odd to me for a grandparent to not include all of their grandkids, but maybe the mug could only have 2 pictures and there wasnt better pictures available or maybe she does have another mug with the other kids. Either way, if it bothers you just ask

Maybe someone got those pics off her facebook page and gifted it to her. Maybe the friend is weird or didnt know about the other kids, didnt take the pics off facebook or the mug just didnt have room, who knows.

I don’t see how this is weird. Someone probably made her that mug. If it bothers you, get her one made with everyone on it

No, it’s not weird. Those are her grandkids… it’s completely normal for someone to gift her a Mother’s Day mug with them on it. And, not every gift will or has to include every single grandchild.

If I have my MIL a mug for Mother’s Day or any other holiday I would only include my kids… not other grandkids. ￼

I don’t see a problem. If I’m buying something with a picture on it I only put my kids whether or not they have more grandkids or not. 🤷🏻‍♀️
