He has a black eye and doesn’t know how??

My husband has been working out of state.. and with what they do for work, PPE is required. He’s a blue collar man if you will. I hadn’t heard from him in about 2 days and it gets frustrating because he has the time to talk to me and see his 1.5 yr old before he goes to sleep but refuses. We finally speak on FaceTime for about 20 minutes? Maybe 30 and I notice the second he answers the phone before he tries hiding it for the majority of the FaceTime (didn’t work very well) that his eye is FUCKED UP. I mean black and red like someone punched the shit out of him. I’m getting our son changed for bed, poopy diaper changed and he’s like guess what happened to my eye. Well I’m like hold on because I’m busy at the moment, let me wrestle him into some new clothes and diaper. I get back on and he starts showing me how dirty he is from work ? And I’m like.. well what happened?

This man plays dumb and is like did what happen? To your eye! Yes like oh I don’t know. How does a man not know how he got a shiner on his eye that looks like it’s from a bar fight or flirting with someone’s girl?

Is it just me or is this suspicious and a huge red flag? Like wth? And why lie about it?
