Does Plan B work if you have already ovulated?

So my hubby and I are planning to try get pregnant again in a few months but not right now. Last night we got a little tipsy and had unprotected sex. We usually use condoms and avoid sex when I’m ovulating (I use opk tests to help track ovulation in addition to the app). Per my tests and symptoms, I estimate that I ovulated Friday. So we had sex Saturday night, approximately 24 hours after I believe I ovulated. We woke up this morning and went and got the morning after pill (levonorgestrel). I have now realized this medication is said to be ineffective if you’ve already ovulated as its supposed to work by delaying ovulation. I am also overweight which I did read can make the pill less effective. Does anyone have experience taking the plan B pill after you think you ovulated and how effective was it for you?
